The late Juri Shumakov developed a system of tying tubes an a
tapered plastic core that allows a large fly without having the
usually large head associated with most tube flies. This technique
allows a well balanced fly that has a proportional head like a
regular hooked fly.  
Keep in mind that all ordered tubes do come with a junction tube. Because many of
our customers prefer to use their own hooks, our patterns DO NOT come with a bare
