Russian Bullet Tube Flies for Salmon and Steelhead

Juri Shumakov developed the original "Russian Bullet" several years before his
death. In our correspondences with him, he always felt it was a good way to
properly balance a fly to avoid hook hang down. By simply adding three cones to
the plastic lining of the tube a beautifully segmented body can be created, we like
to tie in both wing and hackle in between each cone. We also add a wing and
hackle behind the first cone and in front of the last cone. This gives the patterns
a great deal of bulk which still sinks quickly because of the added weight of the
cones. These flies have to be seen, the fish will love them too!

Keep in mind that many of our customers prefer to use their own hooks, our patterns DO
